HUGE Accessory Haul!

Woohoo! My grandparents came back from China last week and brought back a ton of cheap stuff! The picture doesn't actually show all the stuff I got, I actually have about 3-4 of those candy hair ties, Hello Kitty clips, and bear clips. xD

A bunch of cool watches that will probably last me over a year!
I love the sneaker one!

Some more random hair accesssories...
LOL, what are those weird puffy things??

A cute umbrella!
The print is really nice, but I can't stand these types of umbrellas. I can never get it to close and fold perfectly without having to waste 10 minutes of my life! D:<

Overall, I'm so happy I got these! A lot of them are really bad quality and a bit embarrassing to wear, but really cute. A few of the items are really beautiful!

My First BB Cream!!!

Yesterday, I stopped by Morning Glory in Flushing and bought my first ever bb cream! Bb cream has become so popular in Asia, that I had to get a taste of it myself! This little bottle from IPKN New York costed me $40. A bit out of my price range, but not bad, considering it has an spf 20, contains a healing herb called yerba mate, and a whitening treatment.

Although I don't have any photos to show you, this is a pretty good bb cream! I'm no bb cream expert, but this one made my skin a bit brighter with a pinkish tint. As for covering my acne, I'm not really sure if I had any breakouts or if they were there before. The coverage I say, would be medium. I really like this product because it controls my oily skin really well! It felt like I wasn't wearing anything at all!

Overall, I liked it a lot, considering this is my first. I don't know if I'm too young to use these though, so I'm probably going to finish this bottle before I try a new brand.

I'm curious though, how come this brand isn't so well known? I've only managed to find 2 reviews of this product on google...

The worker in the shop was so nice! She even gave me and my mom some samples! She gave me a toner and moisturizer trial kit and the wrinkle treatment version for my mom.

The kind worker also popped in 4 samples of Sooae shampoo and conditioner! What great service! She even taught me (a newbie) how to properly use all the stuff I received! I also got a pretty member card!

Question for you guys:
What's your favorite bb cream and why?

Cute NOTD + New Shoes!

I was bored, so I thought I'd paint my nails again! Isn't it so cute? Since I can't use my konad yet, I had to hand paint the dots, so they're pretty bad. x3
My favorite is the hidden treasure part because it just brings magic to my nails! Even my kids in the summer enrichment program stopped to compliment me on them!

I used: Claire's Dream Catcher
Beauty Credit White Polish
Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure

Although Harajuku Lovers is a very trendy brand (I don't like following trends much), I think it deserves the attention because everything is so cute! Although the prices are pretty expensive, sometimes I can score so really cheap deals!
These shoes were originally $65 and I bought them for $23!

I haven't had a proper pair of summer sandals for years (I live in flip flops), so I was so excited to get this! It fits perfectly and feels so comfy!

My New poupee-boutique Obsession + Small CVS Haul

poupee-boutique is a new facebook game that I just discovered. Honestly, I never understood what all the hype was for farmville. What's so fun about planting fruits when you can sell clothes instead? Trust me, once you start, you get hooked. It's super fun, because you can also buy decorations and wallpapers. As you level up, you get even more awesome unlocks! Forget farmville, play poupee-boutique! here

feel free to also be my friend!

Yesterday, I bought my first nail polish remover, a pack of cotton pads, and a 4 way portable nail file + clippers. Lol, yes, I just said my first nail polish remover. I honestly have no idea how I managed to paint my nails so many times without one. It's so much better than having to chip them off all the time!

I've got a question for you guys:
What's better, acetone or non-acetone nail polish remover?

I won Hilda's Giveaway! + Clothing Haul

I'm so happy, I won Hilda's giveaway from her blog, Tip on Nails, and I got to pick my favorite konad plate. I chose M77, the designs are so cute and pretty!

Bummer, I wish I could try them on my nails, but I don't have a stamper or scraper! T_T

Onto the haul...

Last Saturday, I dropped by the Century 21 store in Long Island (3 floors of shopping heaven!) and bought this super cute top and dress (pic below). I instantly fell in love with this top at first sight! It's so cute and elegant at the same time. The design reminds me of the old Victorian Era style of clothing, which I totally love!

This is such a cute dress, too bad it's only meant to be used for sleeping! I was a bit hesitant to buy this a first because of the price, but super cute sewing print and perfect little yoyos tempted me!

Urban Decay Sustainable Shadow Box Review w/ Swatches

Hey, it's been a while since I posted!
I promised you something makeup related, so here it is!

This is my first time doing a review, so sorry if I'm not up to par.
I hope you will also respect my opinions on this piece. :)

Packaging: This is probably the prettiest box I've ever seen, the design is beautiful and also eco friendly! The outside is made of wood and inside is made of purple paper. The only thing I don't like is that you have to slide the cover to open it up. I like how they made it different from the others, but I just think it's very inconvenient this way and a pain to hold up.

I give it an: A/A-

Brush: I've heard others saying this is a terrible brush, but I actually love it! It has a very sturdy slim design, which makes it really easy for me to apply eyeshadow without worrying it looking messy. Perfect!

I give it an: A+

Design: Urban Decay is a genius. They paired up matching eyeshadows (top and bottom) which look great together and save you the hassles! It's perfect and painless, since I'm very indecisive. :)
I hate the mirror though, it's basically useless unless you can actually turn your head sideways and look into a tiny mirror. Overall though, the design is nice and simple. Nothing too over the top, so I like it.

I give it an: A-

(swatches in order of reviews)

Colors (overall): I love these colors, they're all very nicely pigmented and makes my eyes stand out. I happen to love glittery eyeshadow and pop out colors, so this palette is perfect for me! Although I'm not a fan of brown eyeshadow and there are four of them, I really like how they look on my eyes!

I give it an: A+

YDK: It's a very pretty, shimmery, almost milky brown. Perfect for the summer, but not much wow factor. A-
Midnight Cowboy Rides Again: Gotta give some points to the name, it's so cool! I super glittery eyeshadow that's somewhere between light brown and gold. A
Flipside: One of my favorites. The palette looks like a very toned down sea green, but is actually a very shimmery light blue green color. A+
Flash: Probably the eyeshadow with the least shimmer/glitter, it's still very pretty and stands out a lot. A
Grifter: A pretty mix between baby and rosy pink. I can't say anything bad about pink, it's one of my favorite colors! Very glittery. A/A+
Oil Slick: Again, points to the awesome name. This is no ordinary black. On the palette, it looks like like the milky way, and on your eyes, it's a very dark black with tiny hints of glitter. Amazing. A+
Uzi: Probably the eyeshadow with the most glitter + shimmer, it practically looks like plain ol' glitter! Nothing else to say but perfection. A+
Kiddie Pool: More points to the cute name! This color is very close to flipside on your eyes, but will a more sky blue approach. Very cute color. A/A+
Twice Baked: A very chocolaty brown with some hints of shimmer. I'm not a fan of brown, but others might love this. A-
Half Baked: Very cute color, it's a very glittery brown which looks closest to gold. A

Overall, this is an amazing piece. I think it's perfect for anybody into makeup, even beginners or professionals!

Thanks for reading!

Belated Weekend Haul!

Sorry I haven't been very active lately, I just started helping out at my school's summer enrichment program, which lasts a whole school day. The kids are so cute though, my upcoming 3rd and 4th graders keep clinging on to me! x3
For some of my makeup loving followers, I promise you I'll post something good before the end of the week. :)

Now to my awesome haul...

Aren't these two pieces so pretty? I got them both on sale at MNG by Mango. The lacey top was $20 and the dark green skirt was $17. The top is so cute and carefully detailed. I love how they made the ruffles out of stretchy cotton, it looks more elegant and flowy! I'm in love with the design of the skirt, but I didn't really like the color of it at first. I almost always wear pink, yellow, purple, and light, pastel colors, so this was my first skirt with a bit of a trendy feel to it (I'm not sure how else to categorize it, lol)

Yay, I love cute mini notepads, usually the Japanese ones with super cute characters! I currently have a total of 8, even though I barely use them!

Ever since I found out that the really popular Japanese magazines gave out free goodies in each issue (I'm serious, some even had free LV and Coach stuff!!!), I was dying to get one myself! I got a free Alba Rosa bag from non-no magazine, isn't it so cute? I usually buy Harajuku fashion of visual kei magazines, but I just has to snag the free bag! xD

Spending 4th of July on the Beach!

What better than to spend an insanely hot 4th of July on a beach? I went with my parents, my uncle, auntie, and their super cute baby, Sophia!

Now the pictures...

Isn't the beach pretty? I haven't to one for over a year!
We left at around three, but I was really hoping to stay later so that we could see the pretty sunset (I've been watching too many romantic dramas! xD)

A picture with me and my uncle's baby

Aww, isn't she so cute?

Later, I also went to Mitsuwa Marketplace to eat lunch/dinner (lol, linner or dunch?) and also bought a few things. I show some pics in the next post. ;)

Thanks for reading, I wish I could've seen the fireworks!
What did everybody else do on independence day?

My Handmade Rings + Nail Swatches

I'm so proud these two rings, they're the first of which I'm actually willing to keep. They were made out of super soft polymer clay and acryllic paint. Aren't they so cute? The only problem is that I didn't have any ring bases, so I decided to use some wire, wrap is in fabric, and super glue it. Too bad one is too small and the other is too big. The fabric turned hard from the glue and hurts my finger too! Oh well, I learned my lesson. Never trust bad smelling super glue!

Some swatches...

Pretty, huh? Believe it or not, it costed me only 25 cents!!! Amazing!

An interesting color, it looks just like pencil lead!

Also, on Thursday, I went to Six Flags! What's your favorite ride? Mine is definitely Kingda Ka. 15 seconds of pure insanity. ;)
