Happy Chinese New Year! + Haul

I know I'm a bit late (well hey, it's 15 days of celebration!), but Happy Chinese New Year! May your new year be filled with joy and luck!

Hehe, I just couldn't resist posting a picture of this rabbit, it's so cute!

Here is a big haul a got last week on Austin St. (love that place, everything is so cheap!)

What I got:

Brown Fur Vest from Strawberry - $9.99
Existentialism Book from B&N (had a $2 Red Dot Sale!) - $2
Tarina Tarantino Starchild - $10

I initially tested out the Nebula and wanted it SOOO badly! Sadly, there were no more (I was so desperate that I even tried asking to buy the tester, without success) I got Starchild instead.
Hello Kitty Mini EDP - Free from 100 points. Get it before this deal ends!
Philosophy Birthday Cake Shower Gel - Free using my mom's bday (lol, I'm naughty. xD)
The Body Shop Spiced Vanilla Shower Gel - $3 from after Christmas Sale

Cameo Ring - $1.99
I found a shop that was selling a bunch of jewelry for only $1.99, it's surprisingly even cheaper than Flushing!
Big Flower Hair Comb - $1.99
I found ANOTHER shop with a bunch of stuff for $1.99. It's a great deal, because in Flushing, it would probably be jacked up to $10!

Total Spent = $29

I love going bargain hunting! :D

Here are some close ups of the ring and comb, simply gorgeous!

Victoria's Secret Haul + Swatches

So as you all know, Victoria's Secret does this huge semi-annual sale twice a year. Although I was really disappointed at the clothing markdowns (even plain t-shirts were $10!), I loved all cheap beauty products! Most of them were 75% off and some were 50% off. Since I only had $10 in my pocket, I had to really pick my favorites.

Here's what a got:

VS Radiant Face Trio -$4 (Orig. $16)
Wow, this is probably one of the cutest packaging I've ever seen! I checked online, and a lot of people said that it looked similar to the YSL version. I love both of them!

VS Brilliant Shimmer Eyeshadow in Nightdust - $2.50 (Orig. $10)
What really shocked me was that part of their more mature makeup line was also on sale! I'm not sure if it was by accident (there were no sale signs), but I'm still happy about it!

VS Brilliant Shimmer Eyeshadow in Skydust - $2.50 (Orig. $10)
Another eyeshadow I decided to pick up. Yes, it was an impulse buy. I actually have way too much eyeshadow for a 14 year old, but it looked so much like the mac packaging, that I couldn't resist!

Here are the swatches (dry and wet for eyeshadows):

Question: What items did you score from the Semi-Annual Sale:

P.S. Did you notice that I changed my heading? What do you think about it? I'm thinking about changing my blog layout though, because it doesn't really match.

Look What I Got!

Here's me with the two cd's (hehe, I'm in pj's!)
You might not know this, but I actually have a love for Visual Kei, which is a style of Japanese music. I love it so much that pretty much 95% of the songs in my mp3 are specifically visual kei. I don't know what it is, but the music, fashion style, and just the connection between the audience and the bands, everything about vkei just draws me in. Yep, I've got a ton of posters for various bands on my wall!

That's why when I won these two Alice Nine CD's from Kawaii Kawaii Sugoi Blog, I was happy beyond words. Although I don't really listen to that band much anymore(became mainstream), I still stay faithful to them because Alice Nine was the first that really got me hooked to Visual Kei. You could say that it changed my whole perspective on life.

That was just a little something I wanted to share to you guys, since I feel really lonely being the only one in my school interested in vkei. Just trying to spread the love. :)

Anyways, here's what else I got:

Got these in 3 Separate swaps:
-Kose Esprique Precious Liquid Eyecolor Stylish in BL900 (omg, gorgeous! I have to show you sometime!)
-NARS Orgasm Illuminator Sample (first NARS product!)

-benefit BADgal lash Mini Mascara
-Lancome Le Secret Sample Eye Powder (holy crap, best color EVER!!! Scroll down for swatch)

-MAC Pink Opal Sample
-MAC Quick Frost Sample
-MAC Pink Pigment Sample (IDK the name)
I love MAC, but I can never afford it! Luckily, pigment samples are a lot cheaper and you get to experiment with more colors. :)

Also, I stopped by Chinatown last week and discovered a tiny store that sold phone straps for insanely cheap. I got 4 for $5, what a steal! If you didn't know already, I have an obsession with kawaii phone straps and my collection is always expanding!

As promised, here's Lancome Le Secret (layered over stila smudge pot violet):

and what is looks like in light:

AMAZING RIGHT? It's sort of like a mermaid kind of color, you get what I mean?
Wow, I think I might even buy the full product in the future!

I haven't experimented this with other colors yet, but I'm looking forward to it. xD

Have a great weekend everybody! It's difficult to blog when I also have 3 tests next week, homework, and fencing practice 3 times a week, but I'm trying!

Super Tiny Makeup Swap

Just a super quick and tiny post about another recent swap I had. Not too exciting, but worth a mention, since I got my first Hard Candy Eyeshadow! The packaging is totally gorgeous and the formula is pretty good for such a cheap price!

From Left to Right:
Hard Candy Eyeshadow in Rock n Roll
(the rest are just awesome freebies I got)
2 Packs of Diet Snapple Singles
Mandy's Butterscotch flavored Hard Candy (yum!)
Biore Skin Boosting Night Serum
sassy mark. perfume sample

And here's a close up of this beauty:

Also 2 things I have to say to you (skip 1 if you don't care about my mini rant)

1. So I was checking out the blogs I followed, and I realized that one blogger (won't mention name) disqualified me in her giveaway for leaving an invalid link. WTF? I double checked afterwards and it worked perfectly fine! Sigh. I know it's just a giveaway, but I feel really hurt for being falsely accused! Has this ever happened to you before?

2. I just started school on Monday and now that I'm officially in high school, I will be even busier than ever. That means I won't be able to blog as much as before. :(

That's it for today!

Now, lets take a look shall we?

-Tiny Perfume Samples
-Perricone MD Sample
-Anna Sui 204 Eyeshadow. Woohoo, I love Anna Sui!
-Wet n Wild Pearlescent Pink Blush. Wow, this is an amazing blush for a drugstore price! Some even say it's a dupe for NARS Orgasm!

-OPI Siberian Nights. My first OPI!
-Cover Girl Nail Slicks Let's Go Green. Finally I have a green polish! :D

HUGE Accessory Haul!

Woohoo! My grandparents came back from China last week and brought back a ton of cheap stuff! The picture doesn't actually show all the stuff I got, I actually have about 3-4 of those candy hair ties, Hello Kitty clips, and bear clips. xD

A bunch of cool watches that will probably last me over a year!
I love the sneaker one!

Some more random hair accesssories...
LOL, what are those weird puffy things??

A cute umbrella!
The print is really nice, but I can't stand these types of umbrellas. I can never get it to close and fold perfectly without having to waste 10 minutes of my life! D:<

Overall, I'm so happy I got these! A lot of them are really bad quality and a bit embarrassing to wear, but really cute. A few of the items are really beautiful!

My New poupee-boutique Obsession + Small CVS Haul

poupee-boutique is a new facebook game that I just discovered. Honestly, I never understood what all the hype was for farmville. What's so fun about planting fruits when you can sell clothes instead? Trust me, once you start, you get hooked. It's super fun, because you can also buy decorations and wallpapers. As you level up, you get even more awesome unlocks! Forget farmville, play poupee-boutique! here

feel free to also be my friend!

Yesterday, I bought my first nail polish remover, a pack of cotton pads, and a 4 way portable nail file + clippers. Lol, yes, I just said my first nail polish remover. I honestly have no idea how I managed to paint my nails so many times without one. It's so much better than having to chip them off all the time!

I've got a question for you guys:
What's better, acetone or non-acetone nail polish remover?

I won Hilda's Giveaway! + Clothing Haul

I'm so happy, I won Hilda's giveaway from her blog, Tip on Nails, and I got to pick my favorite konad plate. I chose M77, the designs are so cute and pretty!

Bummer, I wish I could try them on my nails, but I don't have a stamper or scraper! T_T

Onto the haul...

Last Saturday, I dropped by the Century 21 store in Long Island (3 floors of shopping heaven!) and bought this super cute top and dress (pic below). I instantly fell in love with this top at first sight! It's so cute and elegant at the same time. The design reminds me of the old Victorian Era style of clothing, which I totally love!

This is such a cute dress, too bad it's only meant to be used for sleeping! I was a bit hesitant to buy this a first because of the price, but super cute sewing print and perfect little yoyos tempted me!

Thanks for reading!

Belated Weekend Haul!

Sorry I haven't been very active lately, I just started helping out at my school's summer enrichment program, which lasts a whole school day. The kids are so cute though, my upcoming 3rd and 4th graders keep clinging on to me! x3
For some of my makeup loving followers, I promise you I'll post something good before the end of the week. :)

Now to my awesome haul...

Aren't these two pieces so pretty? I got them both on sale at MNG by Mango. The lacey top was $20 and the dark green skirt was $17. The top is so cute and carefully detailed. I love how they made the ruffles out of stretchy cotton, it looks more elegant and flowy! I'm in love with the design of the skirt, but I didn't really like the color of it at first. I almost always wear pink, yellow, purple, and light, pastel colors, so this was my first skirt with a bit of a trendy feel to it (I'm not sure how else to categorize it, lol)

Yay, I love cute mini notepads, usually the Japanese ones with super cute characters! I currently have a total of 8, even though I barely use them!

Ever since I found out that the really popular Japanese magazines gave out free goodies in each issue (I'm serious, some even had free LV and Coach stuff!!!), I was dying to get one myself! I got a free Alba Rosa bag from non-no magazine, isn't it so cute? I usually buy Harajuku fashion of visual kei magazines, but I just has to snag the free bag! xD

Thanks for reading!
