Addicted to Kawaii Pt 1

As a way of connecting to my readers more, I thought that it would be a cool idea to blog about kawaii things I love to collect. As of now, I'm planning on doing 3 posts. :)

Behold,

My Notepad Collection

I'm not sure when I started collecting them, but once I had one, I couldn't stop buying them! They're just so cute! The only problem is that I can't find any situations when I'm going to use them...

Here are some closeups:

That's all I have for now, but I'm definitely not going to stop. It's to hard to resist!

Which one is your favorite?

Tatcha Japanese Blotting Papers Review

It's been a while sine I've last done a review, so I thought I might talk about this product I received from a fellow beauty blogger (oops, I forgot who I won from!).

Wow, the packaging is so pretty, I'm impressed already!

Okay, so here's what the website says:

A 300 year old Japanese beauty secret for a petal fresh complexion revealed.
Removes excess oil and sweat without disturbing makeup or stealing moisture from the skin.
A powder and primer alternative that improves the wear of makeup.
For all skin types: oily, normal, dry & sensitive.
Ingredients
100% abaca leaf, gold flake.
Fragrance-free. Powder-free. Oil-free.
All-natural, biodegradable. No animal testing.
Handmade in Japan.

One pack 30 sheets costs $12, but it is really worth it? Let's find out! x3

Here's what it looks like inside:

The inside cover has a little story about how Geishas actually get their flawless skin from aburatorigami - Japanese beauty papers, which is exactly what this product is! How cool is that!

Close up of the paper:

Do you notice this little specks of gold?

Each sheet is so pretty that I an't even bear to ruin it on my dirty face!

So...

Here are the results I came up with!

Yes, very horrifying to see how much oil there is on it, but that proves how good this product is!
Can you believe that I only used this one sheet for my whole face? (you can use both sides!)

Overall, I was really impressed with this!

Packaging: A+ - Has a really unique and natural design while still aiming to be minimalist

Quality: A+ - Gold flakes and albaca leaf. As fancy as a sheet of blotting paper can get!

Effectiveness: A+/A - It's amazing how much oil these little sheets suck in, but may not last for the whole day.

Price: A - $12 for 30 sheets is not exactly cheap for blotting papers, but it's definitely worth it considering the amazing quality and usefulness!

General Experience: A+ - If you're looking for some good blotting papers, definitely try out Tatcha!

Happy Halloween + NYAF/NY Chuseok Festival Pics!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYBODY!

Here's some candy for all the trick or treaters! (no, not real ones, but close!)

Okay, I know I've been holding this off for way too long, but I finally posted the pictures! Uploading pics on blogger is too annoying, so I learned how to make a slideshow!

Question of the day:
What are you dressing up as for Halloween? If not, what are you planning to do?

Thats it for today!

Scarf Headbows are all the rage in Japan! + EOTD

Okay, I admit. I hate being part of the crowd (proud to be unique) and following the latest fashion trends, but this one is an exception! Kudos to whoever started this trend, it's genius! Who ever knew ugly old scarves could become cute hair toppers?

So of course, I had to try it out myself!
Here's my version:

Hmm, not bad for a first timer. I actually love the look!
I hated the tassels on the ends of my scarf, so I decided to tie them up and reverse the order! It looks great! Except for the big annoying blob sticking out on the back of my head. -_-

A closeup:

Here's my fail attempt on a gyaru(?) inspired look:

I used:
-Revlon Colorstay Pencil Eyeliner (blah, I don't like this. It started fading after a few hours, so it looked like I had 2 random streaks on my eyes.)
-ELF Waterproof Mascara
-Sephora Mini White Eyeshadow

Belated Weekend Haul!

Sorry I haven't been very active lately, I just started helping out at my school's summer enrichment program, which lasts a whole school day. The kids are so cute though, my upcoming 3rd and 4th graders keep clinging on to me! x3
For some of my makeup loving followers, I promise you I'll post something good before the end of the week. :)

Now to my awesome haul...

Aren't these two pieces so pretty? I got them both on sale at MNG by Mango. The lacey top was $20 and the dark green skirt was $17. The top is so cute and carefully detailed. I love how they made the ruffles out of stretchy cotton, it looks more elegant and flowy! I'm in love with the design of the skirt, but I didn't really like the color of it at first. I almost always wear pink, yellow, purple, and light, pastel colors, so this was my first skirt with a bit of a trendy feel to it (I'm not sure how else to categorize it, lol)

Yay, I love cute mini notepads, usually the Japanese ones with super cute characters! I currently have a total of 8, even though I barely use them!

Ever since I found out that the really popular Japanese magazines gave out free goodies in each issue (I'm serious, some even had free LV and Coach stuff!!!), I was dying to get one myself! I got a free Alba Rosa bag from non-no magazine, isn't it so cute? I usually buy Harajuku fashion of visual kei magazines, but I just has to snag the free bag! xD

Thanks for reading!
