Excited for NYAF + Chuseok Festiva!l

I'm so excited, it's my first time going to the New York Anime Festival! I'm planning on dressing in lolita, so I'll take a picture before I leave. :)

I'm only going to the Sunday, so I was so sad that I couldn't see Kanon from An Cafe or Yoshiki from X Japan. I'm such a visual kei fanatic! Anyways, I hope it's going to be really fun. If you see a girl in a blue/white checked dress and a fur vest, feel free to say hi!

Now the NY Chuseok Festival that's going on the same day!
I love Korea too, but I'm not sure if I should be happy or disappointed about this. About a couple months ago, I found out from a source that the big stars like Lee Hyori, Beast, Kara, etc were performing and I was set to go there, but as the date came closer, all of them withdrew and now they're left with stars like Son Dambi, Brian Kim, and Nora Jo. Honestly speaking, I don't care the least bit about these singers, but since I'm already going to NYAF, I thought that I might as well go just for the sake of it.

Seriously though, I blame the people who decided to release the official flyer a week before the real deal.
Even if you search it online, most sources are still talking about the original lineup. :/

Spending Fashion's Night Out in NYC

It's been a while since I posted a picture of my OOTDs so here's another one for you fashionistas! (plus, I thought you might want a break from the vacation posts) No worries though, there are more of those coming up!

Real Life Ken Dolls!

Real Life Mannequins! I saw these at Betsey Johnson and somewhere else too!

Some designer in the store was refashioning a tshirt for a shopper. Free with any $75 purshace!

Outside, there was also a Marc Jacobs Trunk selling jewelry for under $50. I sort of regret not buying, but oh well!

I also checked out Zara, Bloomindales (bought the FNO Tshirt!), Forever 21 (bought a cute tank and knee socks), Steve Madden, MANGO, and Macys (bought a gorgeous Steve Madden Dress for $13!!!).

I was a bit disappointed that I didn't get to check out a lot of my planned destinations, but it was still really fun for me! Despite getting completely lost in Soho amidst the crowds of people(we had to ask a least 3 people for directions!), it was fun for the first time! (you know, like culture shock?)

Something I'll keep in mind next time: Don't plan on going to too many shops!

I'm serious about this. I was really psyched about getting to meet lots of famous people (Christian Siriano at Payless, Tim Gunn at Kate Spade, etc), but the lines were so crowded, that I'd probably have to waste the whole night in one store! Sigh, I wish FNO lasted longer than just 5 measly hours...

Highlight of the day: Had the BEST Pistatio Ice Cream EVER!!! Tiny cup for $4, but totally worth it! I wish I remembered the name of that tiny truck!

Shopping on Austin St - OOTD + EOTD

Woohoo, my first OOTD for you guys! Last week, I went shopping at Forest Hills and decided try out a new style. 90% of the time, I wear cutesy/kawaii outfits, so I felt like trying something a bit more trendy(?).

I'm wearing:

Also, this is the first time I successfully created eyeliner wings, woohoo!
After several failed attempts at using an eyeliner, I finally resorted to using my godly stila smudge pot and voila!

I also bought this Sephora Color Bronze Makeup Palette to Go, which was on sale for $7!!! What a great deal, considering the original price was $15! I'll make sure to post some swatches for this later...
