A Cheap Lolita - Bodyline Haul!

Although I love lolita, I don't have the nerve to spend $200+ for a brand lolita dress. Yes, this also includes makeup (I can never buy NYX nail polish at regular price!) >.< Thankfully though, Bodyline exists. If anybody's interested in trying out lolita without breaking their bank, I would suggest trying out Bodyline, Anna House Fashion (a bit pricier), Select TaoBao stores (lots of amazing replicas! I wanted to buy from there, but my mom is skeptical...sigh), or anywhere else if you can pull it off!

Here's what I bought:




WOW. This is the most amazing thing I own up to date! The strawbery print is adorable and the details are amazing! This is such good quality, considering it was only $37 and made in China! Seriously though, it looks like brand quality!



Here's the bow that came with it. Although it's supposed to be attached to the middle of my JSK (the dress above), I think I'll use it as a headbow. :)



Yay, I finally have a pair of white lolita shoes! After months and months of searching for a pair in my hometown New York City (can't believe they only sell crappy kids dress sandals which are so boring!), I finally own a pair which I can proudly wear! Great deal for only $31!

I also bought some insanely cheap hair accessories for only $1!



This is such a cute headband! Although the quality isn't the best, it's really worth it!



and the really pretty lace crown. This is amazing! Sometimes I get a bit paranoid while wearing huge headbows on the streets, so it's feel really refreshing when I can rock out my lolita outfit without being too much!

My First MUA Swap!

Yes, I'm super late on this, but still exciting! Last week (what's wrong with you Grace??) I received my first swap from the lovely Di!

Makeup Alley is so fun, I don't know why I never started earlier! Although most items are used, I think it's a great way to try out products without having to spend money! What I love best is that you can find makeup brands from all around the world, without having to even go out to the store (in my case, some amazing Japanese Brands!). As a poor high school student, I think MUA and swapping in general is a win-win!

Lol, and moving on...

In order of the picture, I got:
-Urban Decay Primer Potion (the bottom is cracked, but luckily I had some cute washi tape around)

-Tazo Black Tea Sample

Although it's a really tiny swap, I love what I got! Now that I'm hooked, you'll probably see more of these swap posts in the future. ;)

Swatches for Sephora Bronze Makeup Palette to Go

The texture is much better than I expected!



Overall, I really liked this product. Great for the summer and on the go. The eyeshadows are very good quality, the lipgloss is nicely pigmented, and for the bronzer, I have no idea, lol. I will probably never use the bronzer, since my skin is already pretty tanned for an Asian (I want pale skin!)

My First Gradient Nails! - 2 NOTDS

Woohoo, I finally did my first 2 gradient nails! I used this super easy and helpful tutorial from i love nail polish... Thanks Wan!

The first one is my favorite, this picture is nothing compared to what is looks like in real life. It goes from super shimmery gold to a very sheer glittery pink. I'm so happy with it!

I used:
Beauty Credit - Gold
Gap Pearl Pink (I got this as my first nail polish about 5-6 yrs ago and the formula is still in perfect shape, amazing!)
NYC Starry Silver Glitter



This is the 2nd gradient one I did on my other hand. Although I'm pretty dissapointed with this since white and purple obviously doesn't blend well, I think I learned a good lesson. Next time, I might try purple with blue instead. It's still pretty though! ^_^
